So I finally remembered to check out the Blogger app posts on my desktop computer.... what an absolute embarrassment.... those photos looked horrible compared to what I'm used to. Not sure if it's the application, or the photo editing app I used on the iPhone... either way, those post are gone.
I've got a ton of photos to upload, but for now let's just start by righting the wrongs-

Here's the first tattoo I did yesterday... the one where I dropped the bottle of blue 30 minutes away from being done.... Although I'm not happy it took me forever to clean up all that blue, I'm really happy with the tattoo.

Interesting day today....
Started colouring Kevin's arm today.. and about 30 mins into the session, the power on the entire block went out for well over 2 hours. Super shitty... but at least all I was doing was colouring... It would have been horrible had we been 2 lines into outlining a half sleeve. Unfortunately, this was all we got done today... I know there was obviously nothing I could do about it... but I still felt pretty bad...
After the power came back, I tattooed this rose and horseshoe on Brad for his daughter. The power stayed on the rest of the day... which was awesome.

Back to tattooing today. Devin's been coming down from GP to get tattooed by me for the last few years, and he's definitely one of my favorite clients. Covered up an old tattoo on the inside of his arm today with a panther. We'll probably hit it one more time next time he's in town just to be sure that cover up is good and gone. Awesome way to get back in the swing of things.
I have 2 cats, I love my cats, they're my best friends, I have my cats tattooed on me... so I'm always beyond stoked when someone wants to get a tattoo of/for their cats.
Cats rule.

Chelsey was my last appointment before a my trip to Chicago tomorrow. Awesome way to end the work week!
The blog will probably be pretty quiet over the next few days as I travel, get tattooed, and heal.

Had a cancellation today, but Sandy came in and saved the day by getting a bunch of really small, really fun traditional tattoos. I don't know why... but Sandy is one person that I've tattooed a bunch, but I can NEVER get a good fresh photo of his tattoos. Here's the only photo that I could find that's actually in focus. Sailor Jerry flash... the bottle's not crooked... that's the curve where his neck meets his shoulder...

This morning I tattooed this fun one shot on Josie's inner arm. She wasn't having to much fun until I introduced her to the wonderful world of Bactine.
Second appointment was finishing a sleeve, which was really shinny by the end of the session. I didn't even bother attempting photos.

Bad news today... we still have a plumbing leak at the house... BOOOOOOOOOO....
Good news today... all of my clients showed up for their appointments so I have tattoo photos for show and tell today. YEAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!
Leanna came in for the first time in a while to have her fruit sleeve worked on today. Haven't been tattooed in a while... well... let's do something that will feel crappy, like the orange on her elbow to get her back into it.
My second appointment today was my good friend Adam. I started tattooing Adam... maybe 10... 11 years ago... definitely with in my first few years tattooing. At that time, he got a half sleeve which was by far the biggest tattoo I'd ever done. It's been quite a while and most of the color is faded so I'm doing what I can to fix it up and put the colour back into his arm. We worked on this little King Kong today. It's definitely an old drawing, but it was pretty fun to recolour after all of these years.
And today's bonus photo- My favorite client and now friend Josh stopped by to drop off and invite to a party she's having. She was a bit pressed for time, but was awesome enough to make 2 minutes available so I could take a few quick photos of her healed boxer girl on her ribs.
Super extra bonus photo... This guy arrived today and stopped by the shop to drop off his gear and get a bit set up for tattooing tomorrow. Ollie came over after I was done work and put his bike together so he has transportation for the next week. Super awesome seeing Ollie again. It's going to be a fun week!

So I'll have to admit that last week I slacked off in a big way on riding my bike to work... I can come up with a million reasons... but whatever, it happened. Today I was back in action and had my first ride through light rain. My ride is 90% on bike paths in the river valley, and it was an amazing ride today. The light rain was really nice and made the spring river valley smell amazing.
Anyways... I tattooed a really fun one shot tattoo on Pete at the studio today. I really love doing these one shot tattoos start to finish. Not the best pictures, as always, but you get the idea.

Back to work at the studio today, which means I have something new to post that's tattoo related. Ron came down from Calgary today to get tattooed. He wanted super traditional, so that's what he got. 3 colors, no backgrounds, no extras, no bullshit. Bold, solid, traditional. He seemed incredibly happy, and that makes me extremely happy. Thanks again for coming down to get tattooed Ron, I had a lot of fun! Hope it was worth waiting all those years!
