7.27.12

So that's August I guess... seemed to go by rather quickly, but then again, it's been a busy month.  I'm always behind on emails now... sorry.  I just can't seem to keep up.  On a positive note, I found an old memory card that I thought I had lost, however there are probably 500 photos on it to go through and edit.  These aren't any of those photos.  These are off of my phone from the last few weeks.

7.13.11

Here's the last of the photos I had edited on my days off.  I was going to post them one a day... but I have a few drawings to do before heading back out to Chicago next week.... so I'll just post 'em all now-

Naissa's sweet peas
Neal's Mask (fresh colour)

Carmen's back... finally done touch ups, repacking color etc...
 Morgan's finger

7.4.12

So I finally remembered to check out the Blogger app posts on my desktop computer.... what an absolute embarrassment.... those photos looked horrible compared to what I'm used to.  Not sure if it's the application, or the photo editing app I used on the iPhone... either way, those post are gone.

I've got a ton of photos to upload, but for now let's just start by righting the wrongs-

6.5.12

Alright... I finally have a new camera... not a super awesome SLR... but a new iPhone.  Super excited that my in progress photos just got a lot better.  Hopefully a new SLR soon to take good healed portfolio pictues in the not too distant future...

I took this with my new phone in out backyard.  Someone should incorporate it into a tattoo.

Second order of business- The prolific Deadly Tattoos in Calgary, AB is having another art show.  Motorcylce tanks painted by tattooist.  Although I don't ride a motorbike, I'm more then happy to be invited to participate.  I started priming a used tank I picked up from a salvage yard yesterday.  Better late then never...

JUNE 17- DEADLY TATTOOS- CALGARY-
BE THERE (and buy the tank I'm painting... I have no idea what else I'll do with it)
Tattoo photos from the last few weeks?  Sure, why not-

Started colouring Jillian's owl and roses add on
First color session on Stephanie's back
Getting closer to done on Tessa's ribs/back
Outlined and started a bit of colour on Nicole's foot
Snapped a few healed pictures of Leanne's rose and cloche.  I'll get those up in my portfolio on my website... soon...
I went to elementary and junior high with my friend Chris, but lost touch when I switched schools and haven't seen him in probably close to 20 years.  So excited that he randomly came across my portfolio on the internet and is getting tattooed!  I don't know what it is, but Chris makes me smile the second he walks in the door.   There's an octopus on the back of his arm. too.. but the pictures were to blurry to post..
Finally got a couple of hours on Drew's leg

Sandy's a maniac

Healed Photos of Pete's chest.  Pete slayed this one.  Thanks Pete!

Finished up Jackie's bird's and flowers.  I absolutely love working on this tattoo and I'm super excited to do a few touch ups and get healed photos.  It's her first tattoo and she knocked it out of the park in a few months.  When clients come in every 3 weeks, from start to finish, the project stay fresh in my mind, I can work faster, and get more done in a shorter amount of time. Another way of putting that would be- the more excited you are to work on and finish your tattoo in a timely manner, the more excited I am to work on and finish your tattoo, the better the end result.  Model client, thanks Jackie!
AND last but certainly not least... small gap filler on my good friend Justin.  All the best ideas come at the last second....

That's enough... See you next time...

5.22.12

I've been outlining a ton, which is good because that means I've been drawing a ton.  I'm pretty sure I've said it before, but I don't like posting just the outline session of client's tattoos, so that's my reasoning for this post being a bit lighter on photos.... excuses...  But a lot of outlines usually means a lot of colour in the not to distant future, hopefully. Here's May so far.

5.1.12

It's been a while.. again... but that means I have a lot to upload, again.  I was out in Vancouver last week working, but didn't get to post a few tattoos I started before the trip

Like Jillian's Owl and Roses
and Cam's 1/2 sleeve
Monday flew out to Vancouver, my wife's awesome!
Straight to work with Chad and Dax at SETCo

 Good new beer
Day 2- Tattooing Ted's sleeve.  I like green.
I've been looking for Pyramid beer for an extremely long time.
I tattooed Lindsay on Wednesday but none of the photos turned out... they're all out of focus for whatever reason, or way too dark...

Chad and Dax, new signs-
I only worked a 1/2 day so got a chance to walk around.  Love at First Bite is gone?
 Wife presents
Fourth day I tattooed this extremely fun octopus on my friend Geza's foot.  Challenging getting an octopus on a foot...  The last trip I tattooed the shark, excited to get healed photos of them together.
Last day of the trip was lucky enough to be asked to tattoo another tattooist's knuckles.  Jessica and Trent are awesome and she made my life easy tattooing a tricky spot.
